1. Use a Professional (Business or Creator) Account
To unlock these analytics, your profile must be set up as a Business or Creator account—not a personal one. If needed, switch it via:
Instagram Settings → Account → Switch Account Type → Business/Creator

2. Open Instagram Insights
Open the Instagram app on your mobile device.

Go to your profile and tap the ≡ menu (top right) → Insights or tap Professional Dashboard and access Insights there

3. Navigate to “Accounts Reached”
In Insights, find the Overview or Accounts Reached section.

Tap into it to see totals for accounts reached, followers vs. non‑followers, and breakdowns by content type (Reels, Posts, Stories)

Instagram displays how many followers and non‑followers have seen your content, helping you gauge how much of your reach is attracting new eyes

4. Dive Deeper by Content Type
Scroll further to pinpoint reach by content format—like Reels, Posts, or Stories—and see whether non‑followers engage more with certain types. Reels often drive broader reach beyond your current audience

Issue How to Check
